This page explains what information Phenomenal Solutions ("we") collects when you use the Auto StandBy Pro program and this website, and what we do with it. The same summary is part of the Terms of Use.
Your rules, profiles, settings and log file stay on your computer. They are not sent to us. The log may contain technical details of your computer, such as its model, BIOS and Windows version, the sleep states it supports and the names of programs or drivers that keep it awake. It stays on your computer unless you choose to send it to us, for example when you ask for support; we then use it only to find and fix the problem. The program contacts our server only for these purposes:
- Update check. It sends the program's version number and edition (Free or Plus).
- Plus activation, license check and release. It sends your license key and an identifier derived from your computer's hardware, so that a key can be limited to five computers and revoked if it is misused.
- Help and feedback. Opening the online help, or the Suggest a Feature, Report a Bug and Contact Us pages, loads those pages from this website.
Payment is handled by PayPal, or by a Bitcoin payment that you report to us. We receive what we need to issue and email your license key and to handle refunds: your name and email address, the payment reference (for PayPal the transaction number, for Bitcoin the transaction id), the amount and the date. We never see or store your card or PayPal login details. A Bitcoin transaction is public on the Bitcoin network by its nature.
Your account on this website (the "My Licenses" area) keeps your email address, your license key(s), the computers a key is active on, and a password stored only as a salted hash.
Like any web server, ours records standard technical details of each request (your IP address, the time and the page requested). The site uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. Forms may use Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated abuse, and pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google for those. Our site is served through Cloudflare. What you type into our contact, bug-report and feature forms is sent to us by email.
- We use it to provide the program and your license, handle payments and refunds, answer support requests and prevent abuse.
- We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
- We share it only with the services needed to run the above (PayPal for payments, our hosting and email providers, Cloudflare, Google reCAPTCHA) and where the law requires it.
When you write to us, we read your message and any attachment, and we may use automated tools, including AI services provided by a service provider that processes the text on our behalf, to understand it and prepare a reply. A person reviews every reply before it is sent. We do not sell your messages or use them for advertising.
We keep license and payment records for as long as your license exists and as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to help you.
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except what we must keep by law), and you can ask us to stop using it. Write to [email protected]. If you believe we have handled your information wrongly, please contact us first at the same address so we can put it right; you can also complain to the data-protection authority of your country.
