The AutoStandByPro will execute Actions based on user defined Rules. Each action of a rule like Shutdown, Restart, Sleep etc is executed based on the outcome of its associated Trigger such as User Activity, Computer Display, User/System Process etc. A user can create one or more rules and combine them in order to get the preferred result. For more info and examples please see Combining Rules.
For better management of the rules AutoStandByPro supports the grouping of rules into Profiles. A Profile is a set of rules that are created for a certain reason. For example you can create a profile with rules that will put your computer to sleep after you have download a set of files, or you can create a Profile that will put our computer to hibernation when it has finished converting a movie. You can switch between profilesin real-time either through the “Activity Monitor” window, through the “Rules Table” or when AutoStandByPro is minimized to the "System Tray".
For assisting its users AutoStandByPro includes a “Simple Profile Wizard” window that can create a basic but still powerful profile. Please note that AutoStandByPro is much more powerful and supports a lot more ways to create rules which when combined together can solve even more complicated cases. For more info and examples please see Combining Rules.
Additionally AutoStandByPro can Wake Up a computer from a Sleep State using user defined time schedules. The schedules can be based either on a number of hours, days or weeks days (see Wake UP Computer for more info).
