System Requirements

AutoStandByPro runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (both 32-bit and 64-bit). It requires the .NET Framework 4.6.1 or later, which is already included in Windows 11 and in every up-to-date version of Windows 10. If you are running an older, unpatched Windows 10, install the .NET Framework 4.6.1 (or any newer version) from Microsoft before running AutoStandByPro.

In order to use any of the supported Actions your computer must support those particular actions. Before selecting an action, AutoStandByPro will attempt to detect whether that action is supported and enabled on your computer. If it detects that it is supported but not enabled, it will ask your permission to enable it automatically. See Supported Sleep States to check which sleep states your computer supports.

In order to use the Wake Up capabilities of AutoStandByPro your computer must support wake timers and have them enabled. AutoStandByPro will attempt to enable wake timers automatically every time you use the Wake Up capabilities, or every time AutoStandByPro starts up (see Power Settings for more info).

Installing: “Windows protected your PC”

When you run the installer, Windows 10 or 11 may show a blue screen titled Windows protected your PC (Microsoft Defender SmartScreen). Windows shows it for any new program from a publisher it does not know yet, and the installer is not digitally signed. To continue, click More info and then Run anyway. If your browser says the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”, choose Keep first (in Edge: the three dots next to the download, then Keep).

If you want to check that the file you downloaded is the one we published, compare its SHA-256 with the one shown on the download page. In PowerShell run Get-FileHash .\AutoStandByProSetup.msi.
